During my preparatory year, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the fascinating world of fashion design.
At the start of the project, we were asked to bring in a garment-whether it was pants, a sweater, a shirt, or a skirt- with the only rule being that the piece could be altered.
We began working with moulage techniques, transforming the piece through folding, knotting, reshaping, and experimenting in various ways. It was a captivating process that resulted in around 100 unique creations. Narrowing down the selection was challenging, but in the end, I chose the 20 most compelling pieces:
I then translated these moulages into detailed line drawings, capturing their essence on paper. This process allowed me to further refine and explore the shapes and details.
The result was a focused series of fashion designs that demanded time and dedication- but it was worth it.
