My images are visual diaries- constructed from my own photography and family archives.
Not linear stories but layers of emotion, material and time. The image always begins with photography, the camera as the foundation. What unfolds next depends on the material, but the image always retains its identity.
I seek balance and contrast: between solid architecture and soft memories, between technical precision and handcrafted imperfection, between love and loss, stillness and saturation.
Elusive moments I capture in delicately crafted laser-cut acrylic boxes. Vivid red, safely held.
Other images may fade, adapt or transform in form, composition, or meaning.
Every action in my visual diary is a meaningful process- sometimes planned, more often intuitive.
As an artist educator, I encourage other makers to connect personally with their work. Authentic work is formed when the maker is visible.
